Whisk(e)y Review/ Waterford - The Cuvee

I just got new “Irish style” tasting glasses, so I figured, why not review an Irish whisky?

Color - Straw

Nose - Floral, dandy lion, rich and thick, light touches of vanilla cream and lemon. There is a freshness to it like freshly dried clothes outdoors. Tropical fruit is definitely there, dried apricot, mango, touches of white wine as well. This is deep, complex and a whisky I can spend TIME nosing.

Palate - Lots of fruit, lemon, vanilla cream, some slight white pepper, though I might attribute that to the 50% ABV. Still very rich on the palate, mouth coating for sure yet still light and dancy, it changes quite a bit, but it has really good character.

Finish - Long, it slowly creeps itself away leaving a slight sweet taste on the tongue.

Score 8.5/10

Being the first Waterford I have been able to taste after being such an online fan, I truly look forward to being able to taste other whiskies from them.
