Whisk(e)y Review/ Linkwood 15 - Gordon & Macphail

This is the first Gordon & Macphail bottling I have ever purchased, and as of right now, I have no bad things to say.

Color - Light gold

Nose - Fresh apple, citrus, deep vanilla and caramel, hints of nutmeg? Sweet white wine, the nose is very dense and rich. A strawberry cream, like those twisted coloured candies, yes, those ones. This is the kind of nose I could just live in.

Palate - Apple crisp, like a less sweet dough from an apple pie, still a little sweet though. Vanillas, caramels, toffee, and something refreshing. A little perfume-y. FABRIC SOFTENER! (Refer to my “something refreshing”).

Finish - Long, the density is mouth coating and that refreshingness, apple and dough kind of just stick around in this little ball of sweet vanillas.

This is a great bottling from an amazing distillery.

Score 9/10
