Whisk(e)y Review/ Springbank 10 - Batch 2021

As a Springbank enjoyer I bring you my review of the Springbank 10.

Color - Straw / Light gold.

Nose - Light fresh lemon citrus, apple and tropical fruits, something like the little fruit cups, its sweet with whiffs of vanilla cream. It’s interesting because the light peat with the citrus comes off as a lemon meringue pie for me. A little grainy, a green like a vegetal note and some asphalt but in a good way.  And it is dry but sweet like some white wines.

Palate - The peat, fruits and sweetness come through on the forefront, its light feeling but has good character. A second sip makes me think of a white wine but with more punch and more flavour. A little bit of orange comes through. It coats the palate but doesn’t stick around for too long either, its light and not super rich.

Finish - Medium, the slightest hint of some black pepper, but nothing crazy. Enjoyable.

Score - 8/10

Batch 17.3.2021, 46%ABV
