Whisk(e)y Review/ Ledaig - 10 year
As you can tell by the picture below I kind of like this whisky.
Color - Pale gold
Nose - Bold with a mix of peat and sherry. Iodine, band-aid, salty, dark fruits, figs. A little vanilla and maybe some mint? A little pecan pie as well.
Palate - Bit peat, that campfire, band-aid peat. Still a little salty as well, but more on the nose. Those darker fruits come through as well right in the mid palate. And a little pepper spice, but minimal.
Finish - Medium/long, it eases it was out with a good amount of peat and a little sweetness.
If you want a nice heavily peated island whisky you can drink often, this is one of them.
Score 7.9/10
10 years old, 46%ABV
